About the Artist

Karen's art is inspired by the spirit of nature.  Her main focus is on birds,  animals, plants and other aspects of life she finds inspiring. Besides the shear love of painting, she would like to bring awareness, to the spectacular world around us, that can be easily misses.  She invites you to take a closer look.

Her work is a mixture of medias; starting with collaged paper.  Acrylic, Ink, colored pencils, oils are some of the mediums you will see in her work.   Found  and crafted papers, carved stamps and stencils help to create texture; complimenting a more realistic focal point.

Karen divides her time between a homestead, in the Texas Hill country and the gulf coast.
